Reviews of restaurants and guide to eating out in Rome, Italy.

Enotecas

Enotecas have always been a part of Italian culture, as shops where people could purchase and learn about wine. In the past ten years, the term “enoteca” has come to also represent a place where people can not only buy wine, but also drink it in a social environment. There are also usually light snacks like cheese and salami available.

The best enotecas are marked out by a good wine selection and a welcoming environment. Two good enotecas are Al Vino Al Vino in Monti and Casa Bleve.
