La Bottega del Caffé

La Bottega del Caffé in Piazza Madonna dei Monti services the breakfast, snacking, and social needs of many Monti residents.

Nestled in the heart of the Monti neighbourhood, La Bottega del Caffé is conveniently open from 8am to 2am, serving coffee as well as salads, cocktails, pasta dishes, and desserts at any hour of the day.

The pasta’s not the best, but it’s not really that kind of place; the salads are excellent and so are the sandwiches.

If you’re staying in Rome for a while, La Bottega del Caffé is a good place to meet your friends, catch up with the latest gossip, and watch the world go by over a glass of wine, a cocktail, or a cold beer. The café has its share of famous patrons, too: the author Zadie Smith was a regular here when she was living in Rome.
